Went to play the Valley Course on Saturday and saw the Castle Course was available so played it. This course is simply stunning. None of the holes are 'boring' and the vistas going out are jaw dropping. The greens are in really good shape and the front and back nines are like two different courses. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and very friendly staff at the Pro Shop.

Quite a tough round for me (100+ golfer) but good practice nevertheless. Lots of hills and severely elevated greens. Very rarely a level lie. Not a forgiving course, but a picturesque one. £25 on a Sunday, I think this is a fair price for the area. Most courses on the Kent/Surrey stretch of the M25 are double that at a weekend, if you can get a sensible tee time at all. Pace of play was not too bad, but even as a beginner I noted that some of the other (much more experienced) golfers on the course were clearly dawdling with no urgency. Keep the pace up! It's a sport not a walk. However, the tees really need some improvement. Yes, it's a public Council-owned course, and you get what you pay for, but some of the Red tees didn't even have proper markers on (e.g. 18th). This discouraged the women I was playing with. Please sort this out.

Lovely scenic golf course with forgiving fairways, interesting holes and friendly staff. Considering it only reopened 9 weeks ago the greens keeping team have done a fantastic job getting the course back into shape. Greens and fairways are in very good condition for a pay-and-play. Great work.

First time at this golf course which opened again fairly recently. Great 9 hole course in excellent surroundings. Will try the 18 hole later this month. Lovely cafe at the 18th with pleasant and helpful staff, same in the Pro shop. Only started playing recently and found it ideal. Will become a regular visitor.

Sat Nav didn't like the Google address, so found it hard to find the golf club premises. Eventually just went by the road name and found it. Nice easy parking and access to club house, staff very friendly and helpful, course is very wide, lovely scenic course, greens need some tlc and the 18 hole Tee box is the worst I've seen in a long time, other than that course plays really well, will definitely play again.

Lovely course. Long, very open, with not too many hazards. But be careful, it can catch you out.

Unusual course. Like playing in a country park. Busy Public footpaths run next to a few fairways so you are always wary of people on bikes or on family walks. Greens were very patchy in need of some care but apart from that were fast and some challenging. Fairways are well kept and most roughs are fair. Beautiful scenery and ancient woodlands. Pro shop has very little golf equipment or clothing. Bar has limited choice too. Staff throughout are friendly. Buggies available.
